Inspiration for this class will come from imaginary creatures and unknown worlds! Kids will unleash their imaginations to create unique works of art inspired by aliens, monsters and robots using a variety of materials such as collage, paint, found objects, and more!

Clay in the Garden
Mondays (FULL)

Mondays: May 13, 20, June 3, 10, 17
With spring right around the corner, we’ll shift our focus to art we can appreciate outdoors and in the garden. Using clay, a few simple tools, and our imaginations, we’ll design and build fairy houses, toad abodes, and other unique structures to give shelter to our small friends in the garden, both real and imaginary. (No class on May 27)
Making Impressions: Intro to Printmaking – Wednesdays

Wednesdays: May 22, May 27, June 5, 12, 19
Students will be introduced to simple and fun printmaking techniques such as relief printing, mono-printing, and collographs (a type of collage printing). We’ll experiment with combining the printmaking process with collage and drawing to create richly textured images. Printmaking is such a fun and exciting process!
