Sew Cool
Tuesdays

Jan 9, 16, 23, 30 &  Feb 6
Sewing is easy and fun, and anyone can learn how! After practicing some basic skills, students will create a simple stuffed animal (or monster, perhaps?) uniquely designed by them! A personal touch will be added with creative embellishments such as sequins, buttons, and simple decorative stitching. Returning sewing students may choose from new projects if they prefer. Come stitch with us!

Pet Portraits (fundraiser!)
Wednesdays (FULL)

Jan 10, 17, 24, 31, Feb 7

Is your child an animal lover and an art lover? Kids who enroll in this class will have the unique opportunity to become animal advocates as well! Animal portraits will be painted (inspiration will come from actual animals in shelters awaiting adoption) and donated to our on-line auction to be held at a later date. 100% of the auction proceeds will be donated to local animal rescue. We have already raised nearly $6000 from our first four auctions combined! It’s a GREAT cause (and kids will learn lots about the painting process too!)

Clay Creations
Thursdays (FULL)

Jan 11, 18, 25, Feb 1, Feb 8
Learn the basics of everyone’s favorite medium – clay! Clay is a wonderful expressive medium and is ideal for enhancing children’s development on many levels.  More advanced clay students may choose from new, more challenging projects and learn new techniques. All pieces will be kiln fired.

Drawing for Older Kids
Tuesdays

Feb 20, 27, Mar 6, 13, 20
This class is specifically designed for the older elementary and middle school students who are ready to take on new challenges with their art. They will learn about perspective, shading, composition and other ways to bring their art up to the next level. They will still, however, be given opportunities to express themselves freely and incorporate their imaginations into their artwork. We will experiment with a variety of art media this session. Ages 9-13 yr
